Glenda - I have a silver item that has a handle and lid.

Customer Question

Glenda B - I have a silver item that has a handle and lid. I'm not sure what it's used for. On the handle to open the lid, there is an acorn design. There is a definite mark on the bottom but I've never seen it. It is only 4 inches tall.

Good Morning

Can you tell me any of what that mark is? I cannot read it on my end.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Kind of looks like a house with column in the front

What are the numbers on there?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't see any numbers on there. Do you know what something like this was used for?
Expert:  Glenda B. replied 1 year ago.

I thought I saw numbers to the right of that. I believe this is a Silver Plate Tankard, from around 1950. If it were sterling it would be marked sterling or .925, or .950.
