My name is ***** ***** I would love to help. Give me a bit to research.

Expert:  Rarewares replied 1 year ago.

This is a known print (see photos I have added) by Hughes and Lyday, circa 1911 to 1915.

This image was usually framed and presented as home decor for new mothers.

Hughes and Lyday operated in Detroit, Michigan and had

12 photographs copyrighted in 1911, this one titled Madonna.

This print of a photograph taken by F. Watts titled Madonna and published

by Hughes and Lyday has a current value of $200 if framed and $165 if not

in the original frame. This is also dependent on there being no yellowing or water stains.

Realistically this antique photogravure print of a mother and child published by Hughes and Lyday sells for $15 - $25 on the auction market.

Here is a link to a comparable that sold for $24.95 this past December:

and here is one that sold for $14.99 in 2007 at the height of the market:

You can, however, ask any price you please on an item you own, they key factor is finding a buyer at your asking price.

Bear in mind that an ‘asking price’ is one that has not been sold yet and a true sale value is based on actual past documented sale records.
