Found a pocket watch in my Grandfather's stuff. It is silver

Customer Question

Found a pocket watch in my Grandfather's stuff. It is silver in color. Has a Dueber case with serial number(###) ###-#### ***** by Elgin National Watch company. Is serial number 699380. Not running. Has key. Worth fixing? Thanks Rich

Hello Rich,

This is a size 18, 7-jewel silver pocket watch made by Elgin in 1880 with a grade 7 key wind movement. This watch has a value of $35 not running and $50 if running, so it would not be worth the $65 or more to get it fixed, in my opinion.
