From my research, I was able to determine a retail vintage shop value of $15,500 for your 4 panel 6ft tall hand carved Chinese screen.

A private seller to a dealer or at auction can expect 30-60% of retail value.

I hope I have helped you.

Wow, do you have any idea where we could list it for sale in southern Calif?
Expert:  Doris replied 1 year ago.

If you would like to sell close to retail , some ideas are:

The internet has your largest audience of buyers. Place small ads on these sites or set up your own small store on these sites. - small fees - 20 cents to list plus 3.5% final price. - more upscale fee based - more upscale fee based
Amazon Marketplace:

Another method that could be very effective would be to place a classified in the "Maine Antique Digest" It has a large readership of collectors all across the country.

I highly recommend this method. They only charge $25 for 25 words in a classified ad. There publication is as a monthly newspaper as well as on their internet website.

Make sure you list your screen as local pick-up only. That way, the customer will have to make arrangements for shipping.

If you want to sell quickly at about 1/2 retail, then I will research dealers that might be interested.

Give me s few minutes to locate dealers. I will reply in about 20 minutes.

Kind regards,
