Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.

It is difficult to tell what pieces you have and how many of each you gave.

Please tell me how many your set serves then how many pieces each person has at his place at the table. Then I need a list of serving pieces.

I am familiar with sets like this as I used to sell them in my former store.

Kind regards,

Doris

As I mentioned in my introduction,

Most of us in the appraisal category do not accept request for live conversations.

Accurate answers require research.

Does your set serve 6?

How many pieces does each person have?

Kind regards,

Doris

I am sorry I had to ask for a list but I could not identify the pieces under the first layer in your image.

The mark you sent an image of was used by Harrison Bros and Howson of Sheffield, UK. Your plated silver set dates ca 1940s. As you may know, the G R represents the monarch George VI Regent.

The A1 and Alpha represent the high quality plating of the set.

Your cased set as marked and described by you has a retail vintage store value of $800-900 assuming good condition.

A private seller to a dealer can expect 30-60% of retail value.

I hope I have helped you.
