Customer Question

I have 2 clay pots, 2-3 inches high, one with an oval mark on bottom, perhaps Japanese. One has embossed, painted butterflies. They look like chocolate pots, similar to ones I saw in a museum display. I think they are made from 1890 to 1930.
When searching a few sites for chocolate pots, I don't see this type.
How do I find out what these pots are? Thanks so much.

Hi Zaidee,

My name is ***** ***** I would be happy to help with your pots, they sound interesting.

Can you very kindly attach a photo of them and of the bottoms (including the bottom of the one with no mark) and I'll appraise them for you and give you a value.

Many thanks and wait to hear

PS. Once you have the photos in your computer, it's a simple matter to attach them. Just click on the paperclip icon, located above the text box where you are typing to me. If there's no paperclip, click on the "Add files" tab.
