Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.
One of my specialties is silver.
You have a silver vinaigrette by the Alexander Sturn Factory of Vienna, Austria, which dates 1867-1922.
A vinaigrette has a filigree grill under which would have been placed a sponge-like material filled with a pungent liquid that one would use to relieve the surrounding odors.
One could also use such a piece to revive a fainting owner.
Vinaigrettes are highly collectible. Yours would have a retail antiques store value of $390-500 assuming very good condition.
A private seller to a dealer can expect 30-60% of retail value.
I hope I have helped you.
