Customer Question

I have (2) cups/attached to saucers; Demitasse sized; saucers are leaf shaped, edged in gold leaf; 1 cup has red berries with green leaves; other cup has pastel pink berries w/green leaves. One is signed in gold " 1898 Kate A.B.G." and the other is signed "Kate.A.G. 1898". My mother bought them in an antique store around 1960's. I can't find anything on the internet. Please help.

These are Limoges France porcelain berry cups with attached under plates. These were bought as white porcelain blanks and painted by a woman (obviously named Kate) in 1898 and likely then given as gifts. This was a common practice at the turn of the last century and was also practiced by professional decorating studios. This Limoges hand painted porcelain has a value of $25.00 each.
