Thank you for making your question to JustAnswer. My name is*****'m an Antiques Expert and I will try to help you with your particular inquiry. Please, don't hesitate to contact me any time or to make follow up questions if needed.

You have a set from the American Flyer. The set was originally shipped with two scarce #1107 Canadian Pacific Dominon passenger cars, a #10 cast iron locomotive and a #120 tender. I can see that you have added pieces to the set, one original, from the same period, Express Baggage and two more but from different period.

Regarding the value of your item, I have just perform a market research of similar sold items as yours. I performed the research based upon the most recent finished auctions and private sells, so the value given is the real market value of your item. This is the only way to know the exact value of your unit.

The value will be in the range of 1,200-1,800$ for the full set.

Perhaps the photo or description has confused things. There is the train set consisting of engine, tender, and three cars. Separate toys include a trolley, a dump truck, and a scoop shovel. These have nothing to do with the train set. Can you offer any information on these? Also, as a valuation, I am pleased, but what is the best way to sell these? Thanks

Ok, I thought you want to sell it as a set.

If you want to sell the unit I would recommend to sell them on the internet so you can reach more potential buyers. You can also sell the lot locally, Craigslist is free, and a lot of collectors look at the ads on Craiglist.

Keep in mind if you sell the unit to a resell shop, the price will decrease 20-30% from market value.

You can sell the item on Etsy, it's like you put the item in a online shop. You may also check Amazon Market Place. Both places have good reputation, and you can easily sell the items for a good price.

If you want to sell the set separately, the value will be 1,000-1,600 for the 1925 American Flyer set and around 100-150$ for the trolley. The trolley is a Schieble Tin-Trams Rapid transit trolley pressed steel hillclimber, painted in blue and red. The other pieces value will be 50-100$

Let me know if I can help you any further, otherwise, please, remember to rate my answer!
