I have "The Only Authorized American Edition" of The Story

Customer Question

Good Morning!
I have "The Only Authorized American Edition" of The Story Of Little Black Sambo by Helen Bannerman. It is a small 56 page book measuring approximately 4" by 5" and about 5/8" thick. It was published by the J .B. Lippincott Company and not dated.
The book has a paper cover that is slightly torn at the edges, but the pages are all in tact, and a little yellow with age.
My obvious question is, Is this (now barred) book of any significant value?

Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.
Please know that I cannot accept any requests for "live conversations" such as phone calls. I must research your question to give the most accurate answer.
I cannot talk and do the proper research at the same time.
Besides the site charges you extra for live conversations.
If you see a rate me message and I have not given you an answer with the value,
you are not to rate anything.
Again, ignore any rate me messages until you see my answer with the value.
Please tell me of the book has hard covers with a slightly torn paper jacket or does it not have hard covers but paper covers instead?
Is there a date near the publisher's name?
Kind regards,
Expert:  Doris replied 2 years ago.
In rereading your question, I see that there is no date with the publisher.
Still, I need to know about the covers.
Kind regards,
