Antique 4' hand painted Chinese floor vase. My grandma bought this app

Customer Question

Antique 4' hand painted Chinese floor vase. My grandma bought this approximately 70 years ago...family history says it is authentic antique...who do I see? In researching Chinese floor vases...they continue to be made...so I don't know how to establish value...there is no sign on bottom...

Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.
Where did your grandmother buy the floor vase - In the USA or in another country?
Kind regards,
Doris

In another country...can I post a picture?....this grandmother wanted to start an elite antique store and bought items in 1940-1950,,.she went on a buying trip...mostly in the Scandinavin countries....the top of the rim of the vase... is crude...not nicely finished ..but the paintIng on the vase itself is meticulous

Would she have gone to an Asian country?
