Here are the auction results for paintings by Charles Louis Basset, born 1948- France.
I did not list the results of his race track paintings which were much higher than for his other paintings.
You will note the results for his other paintings were quite mixed.
24 x 48" - New Orleans, etc. - 4.25.15 - est $120-1800. Not Sold.
11.5 x 16" - New Orleans, etc. - 5.17.14 - est $700-1000. Sold $1107.
11.5 x 15.28" - Kaminski - 6.16.12 - est $800-1200. Sold $500.
24 x 35.5" - J.Levine - 2.13.14 - est $500-800. Sold $170.
These results indicate that a reasonable auction estimate for your 24 x 36" painting would be $800-1200.
A retail art gallery might double or triple the auction sales price.
A private seller to a dealer can expect 40-60% of retail value.
I hope I have helped you.
