I am looking to find the value of a Nippon vase. I also have
I also have photos if needed. Gorgeous piece! Made in Japan by Nippon, c 1891-1901 Exquisitely decorated in the elegant style of the Victorian period as it influenced Nippon, features relief and gold gilding, footed base, scalloped rim, hand painted floral motif, and finally accented with raised applied encrusted gold beads. Vase is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, or any damage at all, this is a treasure. While the backstamp employed of blue hand painted Nippon with leaf was used late 19th - early 20th century, the combination of Victorian elements with the artist's enormous color palate utilized strongly suggests pre-1901 production. Measures 8” high x approx. 7” at widest point near top. This is a wonderfully preserved antique Nippon vase … read more
