Hello,

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am a Personal Property Appraiser specializing in Fine Art & Antiques and I am here to help! was it valued for insurance purposes
Expert:  Guests replied 5 years ago.
Exactly right. Still in same condition in display cabinet!
Have done further check .. would seem to indicate at least five-fold increase in value of silver in intervening years?
I understand was quoted retail replacement value, not what worth if selling!
Expert:  Appraiser Alan AOA C replied 5 years ago.
so are you looking for a current insurance value of these pieces or are you seeking a secondary market value?
Expert:  Guests replied 5 years ago.
Would be interested in both, though expect little demand for such item, as with falling off in 'brown'
furniture. thanks.

Would be grateful if you could shape your estimation to suit UK market/GBP!
Just noticed USA time zone...

Using my resources to look into your inquiry, I was able to find comparable sales that give your set a current replacement value of £2,380 for insurance purposes and a current secondary market value of £500 - £950 at auction or in a private sale
