I have a Motorola Gen 4. I have a 16 KGB SD card installed. My phone sent me a warning that my storage was low. When I checked, it was only showing my internal phone storage. Thinking something might have gone wrong with the SD card, I ejected it, then removed it. I then inserted it back in. I didn't get a notification like I did the first time I installed it. I went directly to the SD card and checked format. I am being told that to install it as portable memory, it will have to be erased and I will lose all of my data. Is there anything I can do about this?

The notification that I am low on storage just came up this morning. I injected and removed, then reinserted the SD card 15 minutes ago. When it didn't work the first time, I tried it again. I didn't get a notification either time. I went directly to settings for the SD card and looked under format. All it said was if I wanted portable storage, which I do, I'll have to erase any data that is on it so it can be reformatted.

Absolutely! I keep getting the warnings and I am very, very close to exceeding my internal storage. I have been sorting through photos and erasing what I can, but I can just barely keep ahead of it. I really need my SD card to be activated.
