When I woke this morning, my Voyager 3 had died overnight. When I plugged the charger into it, the device began an endless bootloop. I tried holding the power button for 20 seconds and received no change. I could not get it to power off. So I did some troubleshooting online and found two possible solutions: hardreset (since I couldn't get it to turn off, all attempts at this were unsuccessful) or reset using the pinhole on the back (again, all attempts were futile). It then occurred to me to plug it up to my laptop to see if I could access that way. It was at that point that instead of a bootloop to the logo, the tablet began a bootloop to a solid white screen. Again I tried long pressing power button and pressed pinhole. It was then that the device stayed on white screen completely unresponsive.

Technician's Assistant: Have you done a hard reset on your device by holding down the power button until it vibrates or beeps?

I tried but cannot turn device off so won't work

The problem you're having is often due to the software in the Kindle locking up and it needing to be rebooted. To do this, simply press and hold the power button on the Kindle for 40 FULL seconds, then release and wait a full minute for it to reboot (do no press anything else within that minute).
If this does not cure the issue, try that reset up to THREE TIMES and wait the full minute to see if it reboots.

If you're still running into problems, then try plugging the Kindle into the charger for 15 minutes, then eject it and try the reboot a couple of more times.
