My previous active phone...

My previous active phone is a zte-t83 dave. i had se up a pattern unlock, but have forgotten it, since i now have a new phone that i use. i want to have it as a standby, but i used too many attempts to try to unlock it, an it now asks for my google user name and password. however when i enter those it just comes back user name or password ***** it need a sim card, or can it be done via wi-fi somehow?

Even though I know this will probably annoy you and result in me getting a bad rating... the ONLY way to remove the pin is to reset the phone, which results in the data being removed from it. Its the whole point to the Pin, its there to protect the data. If you could bypass it, then there would be no point to the pin.

If you wish as a small amount of customers do, you can rate me bad, get upset by my message and spend a lot of time trying to get around it, but you will only end up with the realisation you have to reset the Note, it is the only way.

Then when you have concluded this yourself, this is the process you do.

In order to turn off the device press the Power button for a while.

Afterwards press and hold together: Volume Up + Home button + Power button, until you see Samsung logo.

Then select from Recovery Mode menu "wipe data / factory reset" using Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to confirm.

Choose "Yes -- delete all user data" to confirm the whole operation.

After that select option "reboot system now".

The reset is then done

The device will restart.

You can then set it up again.

I then advise you install the app Dropbox on your phone as this will then backup your photos, films and files online so you can avoid losing this in the future.

I did reset my ZTE T83 phone in the end, while I was waiting for a response, but thank you, ***** ***** the way, how come I have been charged $61.49. I thought there was only a $5.00 charge? Also, if it is a membership fee, please do not sign me up as a member, as I do not need it, thanks, ***** ***** a nice day.
