For 3 weeks my Samsung J3 phone will not connect with my NetGear wireless network. It will connect with all other wireless networks. And all of my other devices have no trouble with my wireless network. Just this phone. Verizon reset it hoping that would fix it. It didn

Everything is green except the LAN which is always yellow. However, over the past 2 years that has not effected performance.

  1. Delete any reference in your phone to your home wifi. To delete a saved Wifi network from your phone , all you need to do is go to the Wifi section of your settings menu. Find the network you want to get rid of. Long press it, then chose "Forget."
  2. Next, turn off the wifi of your phone completely.
  3. Power off your phone
  4. Power on your phone
  5. Go to wifi and scan for your wifi network
  6. Put in your password (make sure the encryption matches what your network is using)

Sorry Sheri, I'm way beyond that. Did that. Did a hard reset by taking the battery out. I have reset the network settings. I have had the Verizon phone guy working on it for 1/2 an hour. And he pretty much did the same thing. It's wierd because it connects to everything else. and all my other devices connect to my wireless. I was hoping someone at NetGear could help me determine if it was something going on with the router.

Hi, that was just the first step to make sure you covered those bases. The next step I would need to do is to connect to your computer so I can access your router. It sounds like it may be blocked by some configuration in the router. It could be an ip conflict, a reservation, a mac address filtering, etc.

Hi, also, did the encryption type change on your router recently? If so, your phone may not be compatible with the encryption type set on your router. That's usually the issue.
