Android box will not power up. It is sitting in standby mode what can I do

Technician's Assistant: Have you done a hard reset on your device by holding down the power button until it vibrates or beeps?

No how many seconds do I hold the button down approximately

Technician's Assistant: Has there been any recent damage to your device (e.g. from dropping it or getting it wet)?

No it was working last night went to use this morning and it was in standby mode
