To get back into it, we need to reset it. All your contacts, calendars, and apps you have paid for, you can get back after you reset the device by opening the Play Store, pressing Menu on the phone and choosing "My Apps"-- as long as you sign back into the phone with the same Google/Gmail account that is on it now.

  1. With the device turned off, press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons until the ZTE logo screen appears, then release.
  2. Press the Volume down button to highlight wipe data/factory reset.
  3. Press the Power button to select.
  4. Press the Volume down button repeatedly until Yes -- delete all user data is highlighted.
  5. Press the Power button to select.
  6. Wait as the device resets.

Ok, but if you do not know your own password/PIN, there is no other way back in. Imagine if anyone could just get anyones phone and get in without the password/PIN, what would even be the point of having security on the phone to begin with?

What you're saying is that you have a lock on your house, on the front door, but anyone should be able to get into it if they want to... what's the point of locking your door?

You won't lose any data on the SD card, and any data attached to the Google account will re-sync to the phone one you reset it and sign back in.
