Technician's Assistant: Hello. How can I help?

I bought a Samsung Gear sport 2 and cannot receive sms messages

Technician's Assistant: What Operating System (OS) are you running on your Gear?

That I don't know How can I find that out

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your Gear? What have you tried so far?

I have had the gear 4 days and has not worked, I am able to send message but not receive

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Smartphone Expert to know before I connect you?

I cannot use whats app either it wont download

First, try turning on "auto lock" on your Gear and set your timeout on your phone to a lower setting (e.g. 15 seconds).

Autolock is in settings on the S4 Gear Manager. Also make sure that messaging notification is turned on.

If that doesn't work, try setting your lock screen option to "swipe" and let me know if that works?
