Hi..its not holding a charge..once fully charged its losing 100% within 12 hrs...have replaced battery with new, but no help

Samsung galaxy S5.. two years old

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Around a week whilst I was in europe but has continued back in uk..also handset is getting very hot when charging

If you have a new battery and your charger charges it to 100%and it will not hold a charge, your Ss smartphone may be leaking current out of the battery. You can charge the battery in the phone and take it out of the phone for 24 hours, then put it back into the phone to verify that it holds a charge. You can also go to settings and put the phone in power saving mode. Restarting the phone will kill all the apps running in the background.

If you still have a problem and it i not with the battery or the charger or the applications running in the background, it is an electrical problem, and you will need to get a new phone.
