I replaced the digitizer screen on my 5th generation kindle

I replaced the digitizer screen on my 5th generation kindle fire and now all I get is a white screen.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Amazon kindle fire - sv98ln. It's almost 2 years old.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Since I replaced the screen. I have reseated all the connecting cables turned it on and of a number of times and removed and reinstalled the battery.
JA: Anything else you want the E-reader Expert to know before I connect you?
