If the volume on the TV is too high, it may cause sound distortion in your 920 headset. Otherwise, you probably have a defective headset, and packing it up in its original packaging, taking or sending it back to the vendor promptly (and if sending, immediately informing the vendor by phone that you are sending it back for a refund or for an exchange for another... depending upon what's allowed by the vendor and what you prefer) is what I advise you to do.
