Can you try restarting the device. Hold the power button until the unit turns off. Then wait 10 seconds, power phone back on. If that resolves your issue please rate my answer, if you still need assistance please reply back instead.

It was working fine...but I entered I think the wrong pin to figure out voice mail and email...that is when I got the emergency face

I can summarize the directions for you as follows:

  1. Connect your charger cable and assure that battery has at least a 70% charge.
  2. Turn off your smartphone.
  3. Press and hold the Volume Down button.
  4. Press and release the Power button while holding the Volume Down button.
  5. Release the Volume Down button to display and Android and a triangle containing an exclamation mark.\
  6. Press and hold the Power button.
  7. Press the Volume Up button while holding the Power button.
  8. Release both buttons to display the Recovery menu.
  9. Use the Volume UP/Down buttons to navigate and the Power button to select Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
  10. Select Userdata + Personized Content.
  11. Allow process to complete and select Reboot System Now.
