My kobo ereader has part of a books title left on the screen

My kobo ereader has part of a books title left on the screen and will not leave even after I deleted the book. Also the words have switched to a foreign language instead of english

A soft reset is done by pushing the button. A hard reset will do a bit more. I understand the language is different, first let's find out which language it is. Click here, and type one or more words into the box at that link. That will tell you which language it is. Now, notice you can switch the language conversion, set the transfer to language to the language that it detected. Now all you have to do is translate English to that language, and you can easily translate. If you need help with this, please type one or more words in the reply box, and I'll translate the instructions for you.

  1. Turn on your eReader.
  2. Press the Menu button.
  3. Press the centre of the Navigation pad.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Press the centre of the Navigation pad.
  6. Select Advanced.
  7. Press the centre of the Navigation pad.
  8. Select Reset Device Now.
  9. Press the centre of the Navigation pad.
  10. Once the eReader is powered up again, set the date and time.
