Customer Question

Hi my galaxy tablet was playing fine last night. Now it is frozen and I can't turn it off. I have tried all the procedures on the page. Please help.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: It is a samsung galaxy 4 that I got from at&t in January
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It was used last night. Tried this morning about 8:00 and couldn't get it to do anything. I have tried the solutions on the answer page - holding power button 35 sec; holding both volume and power button 35 sec. Plugging it in for 5 minutes and holding the power button 35 sec while it is plugged in
JA: Anything else you want the Android expert to know before I connect you?

Hi there and welcome

It is not clear which volume you used, but you need to hold volume Down and power until it turns off (up to 60 seconds)

Is this what you did?

ok, can you remove the power cable then hold the power button in for 60 seconds then release.

Does it then turn off?
