You will need to register your Kindle again, your device must be connected to a wireless network.

  1. From Home, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Registration and Household.
  3. Tap register Device. After you register, you can return your Kindle to another Amazon account.

Note: You can also register your Kindle from your computer at this link> Manage Your Content and Devices.
