I have a new Kindle Fire 7". When it starts the screen is white and I can Barely see the screen icons. I have tried the hard restart (hold off for 20 seconds) but that did not solve the problem. Can you help

I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue.

This sounds like a glitch in the firmware and it may take a few times to get the system firmware to reset.

Try this please.

1.Plug the Kindle into the charger for 5 minutes.
2. After 5 minutes (while still plugged in) press and hold power (slide and hold) button for 30 seconds.
3. Allow up to 3 minutes for the Kindle to reboot.

Okay, try this next please.

If the kindle is in a case or cover remove it, then if you can see the screen enough follow these steps.

go to Settings > Device > Reset to Factory Defaults. Then verify you wan to remove personal information an erase it by taping theReset button. After that your Kindle Fire will restart, erase your personal data, and reset it to factory defaults.
