Customer Question

I have a kindle fire. When I open it, it goes to 'Kindle Fire System Recovery' because the kindle does't seem to be able to boot. Two options were given to fix the problem. The first didn't work and the second would reset to factory defaults. Using the second option would erase every thing. I have many things on my kindle which are valuable to me, so I don't want to erase everything. Any suggestions?

Hi there and welcome

When you chose to fix the problem, what exactly happened?

And what is it on the Kindle that you do not wish to lose?

Thank you

Richard,
I get the same response: The kindle will not boot.I have many books and games on the kindle.

Ok, you will have to choose the second option.

Books that you have purchased you will not need to purchase again, as with apps, you will need to just download and install them again.

I am concerned it may not run the second option, but let me the results please.
