Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.

The Voice Guide/screen reader feature of your Kindle is turned on. When it is turned on, you have to double tap instead of single tap to select the item or open Apps. To move or slide, use two fingers (or double tap and scroll). Follow the steps below to turn off the Voice Guide/screen reader feature.

Go to Settings (Double tap and hold the top bar on the screen, and then pull the bar downward to view the Settings menu)

Select (double tap) “More”.

Select (double tap) the “Accessibility” option to open the Accessibility menu.

Slide (double tap and slide) the “Voice Guide” or "Screen Reader" toggle to the Off position.

Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting.
