Customer Question

I have been using my Samsung S2 mobile for many years.
I have just replaced it with a Samsung J1 mobile.
I have linked both mobiles via Bluetooth.
I have loaded the Samsung Smart Switch App onto the new J1.
The S2 would not accept the Samsung Smart Switch App.
I wish to transfer my contacts to my new J1.
How can I do this?

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

The task of transfer of Contacts from the Samsung S2 to the Samsung J1, may depend in part upon what Android version is on the S2 and what Android version is on the J1.

But often, just logging in and/or configuring your new J1 to your Google account (if you store your accounts with your Google account!) will cause it to locate/use/upload (?) your Google Contacts, and make them usable on the new J1. Have you tried that yet?

Or do you have no Google account configured on the old (S2) phone either?
