Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.
The Voice Guide feature of your Kindle is turned on. When it is turned on, you have to double tap instead of single tap to select the item or open Apps. To move or slide, use two fingers (or double tap and scroll). Follow the steps below to turn off the Voice Guide feature.
Go to Settings (Double tap and hold the top bar on the screen, and then pull the bar downward to view the Settings menu)
Select (double tap) “More”.
Select (double tap) the “Accessibility” option to open the Accessibility menu.
Slide (double tap and slide) the “Text-to-Speech” toggle to the Off position.
Slide (double tap and slide) the “Voice Guide” toggle to the Off position.
It will take a little effor to turn it off. So keep trying.
Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting.
