How can I tell if my Samsung galaxy s III has water damage

There is a water damage indicator you can look at:

Pop out the battery. In the lower right corner of the compartment there'll be a small indicator sticker. If there is no damage this should be white and covered in crosses. If it's water damaged the ink will be smeared.

The white block/strip has red "x"'s. But none of them are smeared and or bleed. What does that mean?
that means that there is no obvious water damage therefore if you had intentions on taking it back for a replacement or exchange they would not be able to determine whether it has water damage or not because the indicator states that there is no water damage

Are there any quick starts? It worked fine earlier but wot respond to to start/touch/or plug in? Any suggestion, 2 weeks old and it's dead?
