Because it's only while letting the clutch out and not at rest or with the clutch in I'm ruling out the throw out bearing. There may be foreign material in the clutch such as a rivet head or broken spring. There may be a small piece of friction material that has broken off. Without hearing it or feeling it, it is hard to say.
Any clutch related failure will require the tractor bring split for repair.
