Start by checking your oil level and oil condition. Look for any signs of dark or discolored oil as well as any sign of metal or debris within your filter and oil as well as your suction screen that would flag a pump , component , or internal mechanical failure occurring. If this is clean, be sure to check all fuses and relays as well as for power in an out of your transmission shift control in each gear position for a possible electrical component failure as well. If all of this checks out good, have your transmission pressures tested and confirmed whether they are within factory specifications .It is a pleasure to help anyway I can.
Thank you for the update. When you say power is coming in, you tested with a voltmeter both into your shift controls and then out to your transmission shift solenoids to confirm that all of your shift solenoids are getting power in each gear position when selected by the shift selector confirming that the shift selector and wiring is good with 100% certainty? If this is true, and there is no metal or debris or anything indicating an internal mechanical failure within your transmission, it leans more towards a clutch failure that's going to require splitting the tractor for repair.
Thank you for that update and clarification of what you were referring to.
I would take a closer look for any signs of metal or debris within the oil after draining it into a clear or clean container. Also look within your filter/screen for metal or debris that would confirm an internal problem requiring disassembly for further inspection for repair or rebuild.
What were your pressures when you tested them after my initial suggestions? What are your actual pressures currently?
Are you referring to the forward and reverse solenoids when you shift forward and reverse? If so, have you confirmed power in and out of that shift controller with a digital volt and ohmmeter? It is very possible that the contacts inside could be worn or there could be a problem within the wiring in connector pins from your forward and reverse shifter. Check both the shifter and the wiring for problems. Also check all of your safety switches such as your seat switch and wiring, your clutch and brake switches, and your PTO clutch switch to verify whether or not one of these safety switches or the wiring has a problem.
To the best of my knowledge they should be 12 V solenoids.
