I have a John Deere lawn tractor, model LT166. The last two times I have cut my grass, I have noticed that it is difficult to turn. what could be my problem

Yes. I must say I am not a mechanic.i have tried to use a grease gun to grease where my book says to grease it. howevere my grease gun does not fit the nipple

I see the question is still open. Any pivot point , usually at the king pin/spindle area, in the end of the axle tries to sieze, and will cause hard steering.
