Hi,let's see if we can work together to get to the root of your problem! will try my best to help!

Have you removed the fuel strainer from the fuel tank? The threaded portion of te strainer has a screen on it, and in old tractors, this plugs up, restricting the flow of fuel to the carburetor, and shows as fuel starvation.

cleaned strainer, will run with main jet out, or with the choke on, have tried running without air cleaner, it makes no difference what?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 11 months ago.

you removed the strainer form the tank? And have good flow to the carburetor? No fuel through the main jet and all passages in the carburetor are open? You have replaced everything but the carb? Have you checked the compression and the valve clearance?

changed carb many times...i have 4 carbs, tractor runs the same with all....could it be in the wiring? i'm ru

Timing has to be correct and the firing order. Does it run enough that you can pull one plug wire off at a time, to see if each cylinder is firing? And have you ran compression test?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
tractor runs fine ....then everything it's completly out of time...backfires ,can't keep it you think the timing gears could be bad, broken tooth, maybe just worn out letting the timing change...thats what it acts like to me....i've changed everything that can be changed on the outside of the may be like an old horse, and just needs to be put down..

No, timing gears would not be broken. But can be something to do with the coil/distributor. Is this the front mounted distributor? And is tractor 6 volt or has been converted to 12 volts? What voltage do you have to the distributor?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
front mount dist., brand new, converted to 12 volt, new 12 volt coil, bypassed all wiring and switches ran wire direct from battery, spits and spluters , runs the same
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 11 months ago.

you are not running a resistor between battery and coil, to cut voltage back?
