Hi I'm Wayne

I will help you with this

Yes that is a common issue on the 4300

it is caused from the PTO brake

I have heard of people opening it up

and remove the brake

I hope this helped you

Not Poor/Bad service

The brake is engaged on the backstroke of the lever. I have tried the entire unit mounted on my lathe with the brake section removed and it still requires a great deal of force to engage the clutch. So much force that it broke the shaft that carries the linkage( a 1/2 dia hardened rod).
