My lz188 runs great for about two hrs and then dies, starts up runs 2 second and dies. let cool off runs great,. Already done a head gasket change and checked compression test, good. New carb. cNan coils do this when they get hot?. What about vapor ?. I done everything. I been through this whole Kawasaki motor. I now my stuff. Built many lawnmowers but this has me got me stunned. Could fuel pump be doing it. I checked it and it shooting gas. john dealer are stubbed. If you figure this out it will me a Miracle. I put a new carb and adjusted choke plate and cable five hundred times. PLEASE HELP!!! Is there a sensor or water pump getting bad?

Does the fuel pump have steady flow when it does this as well

Have tried pulling the plugs when it dies crank the engine over for a minute and reinstall the plugs to see if it will run?

What do the plugs look like when you pull them?

no head problem. just rebuilt all that and runs a extra hr or two. before soon as it got hot it died, buddy said its all in the adjustment of the choke plate and throttle cable

There should be a fuel shut off solenoid by the carburetor have you checked the operation of that solenoid?

bought a whole new carb and that came with it and you pull it off it dies. its a fuel over flow shut off

What does the spark look like when you turn the engine over?

So you have fuel flow and and spark when the engine dies correct

Have you tried spraying water on the pump and bowl when the engine quits?
