Customer Question

How do you adjust the string cutter on a New Holland 847 Round Baler? It is a manual type--not auto.

See attached info from the Operators Manual.

make sure the knife edge is straight and they can be turned over and the other side used.

Not really much adjustment. the Tube hits the "u" shaped bracket and the knife drops down. Is the knife when down solid?

I need more information. I have used the directions from the manual, but that hasn't helped. Could there be something else wrong other than the knife? It just stopped working all at once.

Okay, tell me a little more.

does the twine arm bring the twine across the anvil? (anvil is what the knife goes against)

does the knife go done flat?
