I cut my my neighbour's lawn as a favour using his John

Customer Question

I cut my my neighbour's lawn as a favour using his John Deere X320 . Last week, it suddenly stopped going in reverse. It still drives forward - no problem but the 'reverse' gas pedal, no longer appears to have any resistance when depressed and the machine can only be moved by disconnecting the drive with the 'pull handle' at the back and tuning the thing out of a blind alley situation.
Any idea what might have happened?
