jd 4400 combine. came with bean head, just purchased 443 corn head. cannot seem to get grain head off. any advise???

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I can help you with your question.

Later model heads would have utilized the two latching pins under the feeder house. If the head happens to be an earlier model then it would actually be bolted on at the lower left corners of the feeder house. Typically there was one 1/2" bolt on either side that would have been used to lock the head to the machine. This would apply to the pre 200 series grain platform. If the bolts are removed, the latch pins fully retracted, and the drive chains off then the head should come right off.
