JD7410 tractor, have had problems with cranking after

Customer Question

JD7410 tractor, have had problems with cranking after sitting for a few days. Prime, bleed, and almost dead battery later finely cranks. Then, the other day cranks right up and I start mowing with it. It starts reving up a 100 or so RPMs even though it's at full throttle . Every minute or so it continues to do this up and down reving until I finish 45 minutes later. Shut it off to do something else for 10 minutes. Try to start again and it's back to square one. Will not start! New strainer, new fuel filter/separater, primer pump later still won't crank.Need help! Thanks, Felix

You say primer pump replaced? What about the transfer pump?

It has the check valves, that keep fuel from bleeding back.
