LA124? Maybe LA120? Twin Briggs engine. Have you ran a cylinder test? Loosen the spark plug wires, then with engine idling, remove one wire at a time and see if engine keeps running. If engine dies when either wire is removed, the opposite cylinder is not firing. If so, check it for spark and compression. If it as both, check the valves on that cylinder, maybe a bent or broken pushrod. If engine is running on one cylinder, you have loss of power!
