Customer Question

I have a 1984 ford 2600 tractor. It starts right up but when I depress the clutch and try to put it into gear the gears just grind and I can't get it into gears. Any ideas?

On the clutch pedal is adjusting link. Do you have about 3/4 inch of freeplay in the clutch travel? If too much freeplay, you don't fully disengage the clutch.

I've adjusted it every way possible and the clutch still will not disengage

Does the pedal feel any different? It could have slipped over the throw out collar and no longer pushes the clutch. Only repair would be to split the tractor and fix the damage!
