We recently purchased a Ford 8730 tractor with a front end

Customer Question

We recently purchased a Ford 8730 tractor with a front end loader. It seems to have trouble lifting much and right now it won't lift the discbine that it has been running for the last few days. It will lift when cold but not after it has been running for a while. All hydraulics seem to be slow.

Classic symptoms of a bad hydraulic pump. Works cold, gets worse as oil warms, and has slow movement. Test hydraulic pressure cold, and again when hot. A large drop in pressure will confirm the pump is bad.
