I have a 2001 Acura MDX and the alarm goes off every time I open the doors. I've disconnected the connector on the hood latch but the alarm still goes off every I open the doors. I don't have the FOB and the keys are not programmed at the moment but I can still start the vehicle with the immobilizer brake code.

Mechanic for Acura: david craig, Acura Mechanic replied 7 months ago

the immobilizer brake code is only good for so many starts and keyless entries. the only thing you can do now is to have the keys programmed and get a fob and program it also. that's it.

We don't give out information on disabling any anti-theft systems. It's a liability issue

What Customers are Saying:

I took the Power Steering O-Ring service bulletin linked from JustAnswer to my Acura dealer, and not only did they no-charge the o-ring, they also replaced the power steering pump at no cost.

HONDA PLATINUM was great. I really appreciate his help. I was ready to trade my new Honda until he told me to wait until I got 3,000 miles on it and my gas mileage would get much better.
