is this an aftermarket alternator? and are we talking about an 06 Maxima?

Cables all look good/clean. Somehow something in the wiring or harness must be causing the problem but I'm not sure where to look or how to test for that

Buy an alternator from Nissan or a good Brand aftermarket alternator. Denso, Beck Arnley, etc... Stay away form store brand alternators. They are usually junk

Also make sure your battery is good. A bad battery will kill alternators quickly
