It doesnt get cold
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

when you replaced the expansion valve and recharged the system, are you sure you put enough refrigerant back in?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Compressor came on right away like it was going to work but must came out hot.Pressure stays in the system till we release it

turn the car off. turn the key to the on position. operate the temp selecotr from cold to warm and back to cold and listen to see if you hear the actuator moving. let me know,me thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can here it going from hot to cold
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok. do you have a set of ac manifold gauges?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No sorry I dont
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

that is a must have to determine the correct amount of refrigerant is in the system. you dont want it under charged nor do you want to over charge it. one more thing you can check is the cooling fan for the condenser. as soon as you turn the ac on, the fan should come on. also with the ac on, the ac lines going into the condenser and coming out of the condenser 1 should be hot and 1 should be warm

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't have nothing in the system right now should I load it to see if fans come on
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok. do you know hoew much the system takes?

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

theres a label under the hood that tell you the amount to add.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
there is so l will put in the right amount and see if the fans come on. Then check the lines if I. don't get back to by tomorrow is that ok
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.
